Plus Size Christmas Party Jewellery

Wow! Christmas is upon us again, time to shop till we're skint. With Christmas comes an abundance of parties, and what better reason could there be to glam up. As a plus size woman finding a great party frock is becoming easier, personally I prefer New Look and Etams for something a bit more in fashion. To complete your outfit this crimbo you can't go wrong with a super glam cocktail ring, if you are wearing black why not add jewellery with coloured stones. If you are wearing a dress you can't get much sexier than an anklet with a pair of heels. Taya's Plus Size Jewellery have anklets in 11 or 12 inch lengths which you can wear with a charm or a sparkly pendant for a bit of extra bling.

Sexy and Outrageous Beth Ditto

The Gossip singer, Beth Ditto has recently taken the world by storm,
flaunting her womanly curves with pride and blowing the trumpet for all
us women who are not stick thin.Beth has blamed gay men in the fashion
industry and the likes of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie for the stick thin craze.
“If there’s anyone to blame for size zero, it’s not women. Blame gay men who
work in the fashion industry who want these women as dolls,”
The Sun quoted Ditto, as saying.
Famous Feminist Germaine Greer recently spoke out in favour of Beth's naked
photo shoot with magazine NME. Writing in the The Guardian, Greer declared:
"NME had enough courage to putthe coolest woman on the planet on the cover,
and Beth Ditto has given them the kind of picture that they can use: attention-
getting but certainly not obscene."Professor Greer then praised Ditto.
"Stripping has become part of her stage act; she is reputed to have exposed her
hairy crotch to an adoring audience at the London venue KOKO last year,"
she explained. "Her intention is to force acceptance of her body type, 5ft tall
and 15 stone, and by this strategy to challenge the conventional imagery of women."

Fat Discrimination in the Workplace!

Overweight job hunters 'lose out'

Overweight people were said to lack self-discipline Overweight workers find it harder to

get jobs than their slim counterparts, an online survey suggests.
The magazine survey of 2,000 personnel officers found most preferred to offer jobs to

workers of a "normal weight".
Half of those polled by Personnel Today thought obesity affected productivity. A similar

number believed overweight people lacked self-discipline.

The magazine's editor Karen Dempsey said it suggested hidden discrimination and
overweight people were missing out.
She said: "To date, obesity has not been given the same recognition as sex, age, disabilities
and race discrimination.
"But as our survey shows, overweight workers are being marginalised and given fewer
opportunities than their slimmer counterparts."

The survey also found that one in 10 personnel officers would not want an overweight
employee to meet a client. The same percentage believed they could sack a worker for
being obese.

Airline Tips for Large Passengers

Airline travel can be a nightmare for the large person.
Small seats and aisles, the long walk from the check-in
area to the gate, and the frequent insensitivity of
passengers and crew can all contribute to an unpleasant
flying experience. But with careful planning, your flight
can be safe and enjoyable.

BOOK CAREFULLY -
Book your flight carefully, avoiding "rush-hour" air time.
Take advantage of deals, where the plane is less likely
to be full.

EMPTY SEAT -
Tell the airline that you are large and ask that the seat
next to yours remain empty if at all possible. The worst
the airline can do is say "No", but most airlines will at
least attempt to accommodate.

BELT EXTENSIONS -
Request a seat-belt extension when you book your flight,
and/or ask for one when you board the plane. Do not wait
for the flight attendant's animated safety speech to discuss
this need.

SEAT SIZE -
When you book your flight ask specifically for the seat
measurements of the plane you will be on. Explain your need
and ask for the largest seat in your section of the plane.
Even one inch can make a big difference.

Have you had a bad travel experience?
I would love to hear about it

Is Posh Too Thin?

Victoria Beckham is regarded as a style icon to many in the fashion industry.
Does this anorexic look really get blokes going? Or would they prefer to take someone out to dinner and know that they aren't going to be barffing it back up later! What do men prefer?

Gautier Uses Size 20 Model!

Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier found his own way to comment on the 'size zero' debate - by putting a larger model down the catwalk to show off his clothes.
Dressed in a daring black corsetry, the plus-sized model dwarfed her fellow waif-like catwalk queens.
Clearly more of a size 20 than the controversial model Size 0, this voluptuous woman proved big is beautiful as she strutted down the runway at Gaultier's 30th anniversary show yesterday during fashion week in Paris.

Jewellery for Large Women

How come High Street stores make fashion jewellery so bloody small?

They are slowly accepting that we all aint a size 10 and are doing a fat clothing range hidden in the corner. But why then are their jewellery ranges so small? Have you ever tried to shove a bangle on and realised it's wedged on your hand, I know they are never going to fit me but I still have to try. Then you've got the skinny chick next to you who tries it on effortlessly and it's actually an arm cuff. I love jewellery, a bit of bling and a push-up bra makes you feel sexy doesn't it.

Check Out www.tayas-plus-size-jewellery.co.uk for a wide range of jewellery for women in real sizes.
